Have you ever wanted to have a voice controlled assistant? In this months project, we are going to use an Arduino 101, a web API, and some voice recognition software to make an assistant that will respond to your voice commands. It isn’t Tony Stark’s JARVIS, but it is a step in the right direction. In past meetups, we have talked about state machines and we will review how those work as well as what it takes to use interrupts and timers. All of these will be needed for the software on the Arduino to run the assistant. Don’t worry if all of these terms sound scary – this is a gentle introduction. Finally, we will look at the project (link below) and start our build. We will identify what parts are included in the project and what they are for. Then, we should be able to finish up our build in the next meeting!
