The BBC micro:bit is a small single board device that is packed with sensors, inputs, and LEDs but is simple to program. This device is a great introduction to the world electronics and embedded design.
In this session, we will discover the capabilities of the device and code in some examples to take advantage of the onboard gadgets. We will also demonstrate how to use your phone as a way to control it and some of the external gear available.
If you would like to follow along, bring a micro:bit and your computer! You can pick one up at one of the links below. These links are just for the board, I would suggest getting a bundle – they are only a few dollars more and come with everything you need to get started!
